Susie, Jim, and family,

Mrs. Roddy was one of the most delightful people I have known. I have many good memories. When I was a little girl and my dad died, she was always kind, and encouraging. I remember when she knitted tams for me and my sisters, we wore them proudly for years, I may have it one of my boxes yet today... We always loved her hats and would wonder which one she would have on the next time we were to see her. She, Clara Pickering, and Rose Schreiner would go everywhere together, they came to my sister Julie's wedding together and were the hit of the party. I will miss seeing her around town and at church on my visits to Nebraska City. God Bless her and all of you.
