My condolences to the family of Robert Summers. I began my career as a teacher at Junction City High School in 1973. I taught Robert, Rodney, Ricky, and Carl in those early years. As brothers, they had such different personalities that made each one special and unique. Robert and Carl were quiet and more reserved as teenagers than either Ricky or Rodney! I always remember Robert being such a polite young man. He had such an easy smile that made his eyes sparkle with light!! Robert was a fine young man and I enjoyed having him in my classes. I learned of Robert's illness from one of his many Wilson cousins and had been offering prayers for his recovery. Please, know you will all remain in my thoughts and prayers in the coming days. Hold tight to your memories...

to Robert's family: my deepest sympathy to Felicia and family. I knew the Summers family and all the children. Rhonda was a friend of my daughter's. My husband, Dale Hux, was a principal at the high school and taught all the Summers family. My love and prayers to you all. Joan Hux, Junction City, Ar.

Felecia & Girls, I hope you remember me, but the last time I saw Robert was at the Brent Wilson service. I worked for Bailey's in Junction City and Robert came by. I just want you to know that we had a nice talk. I know that Robert loved the Lord and you and the girls. He just would light up when He talked about God and his family. It was a pleasure to know him. I know Robert and Max are fishing in heaven. Our deepest sympathy to you & the girls. Dalbert (Blackie) & Norene Williams
Felicia--It was with shock and sadness I learned about Robert in today's News-Times. My heart goes out to you and your precious, beautiful girls. Viewing the wonderful pictoral tribute on this website while recalling my memories of you both made my heart heavy for you and your daughters, but it also revealed what a neat family you two grew together. Robert's pride shone throughout. You have no idea how I've tried to locate you and decided not to attempt to make contact figuring the information was outdated or that I'd reach a different person having the same name as yours. I'm sorry that I didn't follow through and that this is how I learned where you are. Please know I'm sincere saying you and your family will be remembered in my prayers. Vallerie Roberson (friend from years ago in Junction City and worked with you at newspaper and radio).
