To the family of Paul, especially his daughters, I would like to express my deepest sympathies. Paul and I became friends about 3 years ago. He became one of the best friends I had. I worked nights and so did he, most of the time, so we would spend nights and mornings talking about anything and everything. He love for his daughters, his mother,. the outdoors. hunting. race cars and just about anything else that would come up. I am happy but sad to say that I only had the pleasure of meeting him in person just once. He surprised me by showing up at the hospital I work at, he only spent about 15 mins but he kept his promise and showed up. I loved him and couldnt go days without talking to him. We laughed and shared alot of stories. He even talked to me throughout the whole entire Hurricane Gustav, just to make sure we were all ok. He had a heart of gold. I will keep him in my heart forever. All the special times we shared are cherished. I have a couple pictures he sent to me and would like to share them with the family. Again, I am sorry for your lost and feel it so deeply myself. I can't say enough good about this special guy. Paul, I love and miss you and in my heart you will foreva remain.

Paul you were like my brother! We spent many nights talking singing fishing and talking about the big ones that got away. You touched so many lives and you will be greatly missed. I miss you already and just talking to you and catching up on things. I will see you again my friend! Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Love Todd and Margo Smith

Paul was a friend of my brother, Philip Hopkins. I was 15 when I met Paul. He was like a brother during those years. It was fun to hear about their stories from downtown Greenville. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The world lost a great person when it lost Paul. He is sorely missed.
Love always,
Beth
